1. Selective conversion of ethene to propene and butenes is mainly influenced by spatial constraints of the pore structures. 2. Among all zeolite tested in this work, one-dimensional pore structures such as HZSM-22 and HZSM-23 possess the highest selectivities to propene and butenes at moderate conversion rates. 3. The strong deactivation behavior during the conversion of ethene needs a continuous regeneration of the zeolite catalyst which is - as demonstrated for HZSM-23 - in principally possible. 4. A strong influence of Al - content on the selectivities to light olefins was observed. Lowering the Al - content in three-dimensional pore structures leads to an increasing selectivity to propene whereas a decrease was observed for one-dimensional pore structures.
