West Meets East: Psychophysics Studies for UnderstandingMysterious Oriental Health Promoting Practices

摘要

Based on his early graduated studies in psychophysics, the author has, in recent years, appliedpsychophysics for studying organic and motor senses (the two sensory systems deeply embedded inside ofhuman body), and tried to understand the scientific foundation of the oriental health promoting practices.The preliminary results are promising and are discussed in detail in this paper. Psychophysics studies oforganic and motor senses may be the tool to provide the connection between Western and Easternmedicines to form a balanced holistic medicine approach, and may help us to understand the scientificfoundation of mysterious oriental health Promoting practices that serve as alternative medicines forpromoting human wellness against illness.
