For wireless sensor networks, ranging is a difficult option. The hardware cost, the energy expenditure, the form factor, the small range, all are difficult compromises, and it is hard to envision cheap and resource-constraint devices to make use of range-based localization solutions. In this paper, we present a novel localization approach called Binary which is range-free. Then, we compare our work via extensive simulation, with three range-based localization schemes and show that it has often better accuracy than QR-Factorization (which is an exact positioning approach) and WCL and EBTB (which are approximate positioning approaches).
