Mixing and more particularly micromixing have a decisive impact on the overall performance of the processing engineering. Recently, the rapid development of microreaction and micromixing technology has led to a considerable variety of microfluidic devices. In particular, microreactors and micromixers are nowadays commercially available. High-efficiency mixing performance is a general character of these devices and most microdevices are designed to realize rapid mixing. With the artificial technology nowadays, we can only control the mixing size small to mesoscale in microdevices. Therefore, to investigate the influence of mesoscale on micromixing performance is of great significance in both micromixer design and new technique development.
