In-Situ Aerobic-Anaerobic Bioremediation of a Mixed Chlorinated Organic Plume at Hunters Point Shipyard (Abstract)

In-Situ Bioremediation (ISB) of chlorinated organics has been successfully demon- strated at numerous sites. ISB is typically conducted at sites dominated by one type of chlorinated organic such as chlorinated ethenes. A pilot test is currently underway at the Former Hunters Point Shipyard, to evaluate ISB as a remedial option for a high concen- tration plume of mixed chlorinated organics.
