PRESENT DEVELOPMENT SITUATION AND COUNTERMEASURES ON CHINESE RAILWAY MODERN LOGISTICS

Railway is an important landway transport in Chinese modern transport system. It also plays a key role in modem logistics system. Rail transport industry has abundant transport resources and network advantages. Its development towards modern logistics has a significant meaning in constructing and strengthening Chinese modern logistics system, promoting the over-striding-development of 3PL and improving domestics transport quality and international competitive edge. Viewing from competition and railway transport development trend, the development of modern logistics is railway's self-requirement as well. This article researches present situation of Chinese railway modem logistics development, and puts forward some measures to develop railway modem logistics, such as programming railway infrastructure construction, promoting the reform of separation of government functions from enterprise management in railway enterprises, improving institutional environment for the development of Chinese railway modem logistics as well as paying attention to the education and employment of logistics talents.
