New Danish test method for the light weight deflectometer (LWD)

In the spring of 2007 The Danish Road Institute in cooperation with the Danish LWD-user groupfinished a national test method for determination of the E-modulus of unbound materials with the LWD. A LWDis handy equipment on site, and can be used in the early exploration and construction phases to obtain moreknowledge at an early point in time which makes it possible to optimise the design of the pavement. The LWDis also an effective tool for describing the non-linearity of the subgrade.
