Preventive maintenance (or overhaul) is repetitive over the lifetime of a system and should be performed within the predetermined interval that is sometimes not allowed to extend. A dynamic programming model for scheduling the preventive maintenance of modular designed components is solved with preemptive, integer goal programming. We present a numerical example with the case of T-59 advanced trainer jets deployed on an Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
