Barium orthotitanate ceramics (Ba{sub}2TiO{sub}4) with ≥0.4wt% Nickel shows highly reproducible CO{sub}2 absorption - desorption when they are annealed under cyclic temperature conditions. Addition of Ni powder prohibited the grain growth of the Ba{sub}2TiO{sub}4 ceramic.
