This paper introduces the Frequency Control Technology, and summarizes its use and performance advantages, and discusses the basic principles of energy saving that Frequency Converter application in air conditioning systems, and makes a brief introduction on control methods. This paper analyses the energy saving of Frequency Converter that compared with the valve control, and gives the corresponding approximate calculation method. Finally, taking air conditioning water pump system as an example, this paper compares the effect of energy saving of the VVVF control and valve adjustment. Examples show that the rate of energy saving of Frequency Converter can achieve more than 70% in the air conditioning system of large shopping malls, and show that the application of Frequency Control technology in air-conditioning systems are not only feasible but also necessary.
