Ammonia emission from a commercial broiler house with high rise and daily manure remove system was monitored at four seasons in one year, five consecutive days from broiler age about 35d to 40d were continuing measured in each season. Gases concentrations of incoming and exhaust air streams were measured using INNOVA 1312 multi-gas monitor with multi-channel samplers, Building ventilation rates were determined by calibrated FANS unit. Nitrogen concentration was measured though feed intake, daily weight gain, manure produce, total nitrogen content in feed and manure samples. The study showed seasonal variations in ammonia emissions from the broiler houses. The annual ammonia emission rates was 31.1 ±21.5 g d~(-1) ALT~(-1),Nitrogen recovery from ammonia emission in house is 2.3%,The ammonia ER from the current study tended to differ substantially from the limited literature data, presumably resulting from the unique production and manure handling practices associated with typical broiler operationsin China.
