In some industrial applications ofelectromagnetic fields (first of all, at high-temperature induction heating of metal workpieces) the temperature of treated parts reaches very high values (800-1000 deg C and even more). Calculating coupled electromagnetic and temperature fields distributions in high-temperature devices it is important to take into account the nonlinear temperature dependences of material properties. Besides, it is necessary to take into consideration nonlinear magnetic properties of soft ferromagnetic materials. This paper demonstrates that the error arising at the neglect of above-mentioned nonlinearities can reach impermissibly huge values.
