摘要

Well known reaction of primary amines and carbonyl compounds has been used to obtain Schiff s bases. This simply method sometimes needs higher temperatures and/or catalyst i.e. p-toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA). The obtained imines can decomposed (hydrolysis) and usually they are used for further reactions without purification. Diimines obtained from the title compound 1 are less known, but imines derived from ketone 3 are previously described elsewhere, as a potential biologically active compounds [1].
