Synthesis of potential inhibitors of pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase

摘要

Proline is important amino acid, which is accumulated under stress condition like drought, water deficits, salinity stress and stress cause of occurring inorganic ions (Cu~(2+), Cd ~(2+), Al~(3+), Ni~(2+)) in soil. Numerous functions have been proposed for excess of proline in cytosol e.g. reservoir of energy and reducing power, a hydroxy-radical scavenger, a nitrogen storage compound, regulator of cellular redox, and reducing power [1].
