Rock mass characterization using attenuation of coda waves

摘要

To evaluate the seismic site response is of great significance in geotechnical engineering research and applications. The amplitudes of seismic waves at observing sites are influenced by the source characteristics, travel path and local site conditions. Seismic wave attenuation in geological materials is a process resulting of the interaction of several mechanisms that contribute to the energy reduction during dynamic excitation.
