摘要

In this paper a three-dimension vortex filament method was proposed to simulate the interaction between two vortex rings. The head-on collision and leapfrogging process of two circular rings were reproduced respectively and compared with experimental observation and theoretical analysis respectively to validate our model. Then the model was used to simulate other cases of the interaction of two elliptical or circular rings and some interesting phenomena were found.
