Ecological Risk Perception of Blue-algae Bloom in Chinese Public

To explore the potential contribution of a risk perception framework in understanding developing country's public perceptions of managing unstable ecosystems, we characterize one kind of ecological risk-blue-algae bloom in Chinese four largest lakes including Taihu lake, Hongze lake, Chaohu lake and Dianchi lake, which are also the most serious eutrophicated lakes with frequent blue-algae blooms. The study was divided into five parts. The results would help the Chinese government to comprehend the public's risk perception of the lake ecosystem, inducing well designed communication of risks with public and making effective mitigation policies to improve people's rational risk judgment.
