Deepening Informatization Application of Foundry Enterprises by Using the Performance Evaluation of ERP Based on the Methods of BSC and PCS

The market that Chinese foundry enterprises are facing has entered the "elimination type" competition phase, and the continuous deepening informatization application could better help them success in the drastic competition. The performance evaluation of the run phase of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) not only could help foundry factories realize their own development situations and problems, but also could assist them in changing management strategies, optimizing business processes and improving the ERP systems, which are good for deepening informatization application. Thus this paper tries to establish a mode of performance evaluation based on the methods of BSC (Balance Scored Card) and PCS (Periodical Comparative Analysis), which includes 4 dimensions (internal management, customer service, finance control and learning and innovation), 11 measures and 15 quantifiable evaluation indicators and the weight of each index. Then taking a typical small and medium-sized Chinese foundry enterprise as a case, this paper comparatively analyzed the performance evaluations of three months (2011-08,2011-09 and 2011-10) by using the mode, and the results demonstrated that the company could find out the problems and causes from the evaluation result table easily. Besides, this mode would be beneficial for other countries' foundry enterprises and even the whole manufacture industry.
