Ivacaftor induces Pseudomonas aeruginosa population proteome changes in the airways of CF patients with G551D mutations

Heritable changes within the infecting bacterial population were revealed through population proteome analyses from cultured cells. PA proteomes were observed with more similarity among time-point samples from the same patient, compared with samples from different patients. Consistent pathway-level proteome changes were detected in time-point samples. Increased abundance of type III proteins in PT4 and PT5 post-IvacaftorPA populations were verified by PRM.
