摘要

Based on the model compound studies, ISCAD often causes the cleavage of all alkyl chains from aromatic molecular ions, producing ionized aromatic cores. Examination of model compound mixtures showed that this can be utilized to determine the average core size and alkyl chain length of the molecules. The method was applied to a crude oil sample.
