摘要

- Nano-LC-high resolution MS boosted the investigation of ants venom. - P. villosa venom is a valuable source of new compounds. - 80% of peptides did not present any match within the chosen database and may corresponds to new molecules, still to be characterized. - The peptides which matched with known sequences of the data base were preponderantly AMPs. - There are differences among winter and summer venom which might be related to seasonal foraging changes.
