摘要

Accumulation trap demonstrated a 10X greater trapping capacity then previously utilized hexapole. Optimized tapered rods on accumulation trap for fast and dense ion packet ejection into the linear ion trap. Cryogenically tested linear ion trap to determine achievable temperatures and effects of RF heating. Further work involves radial ejection, mass-selection and cryogenic tagging of ions for IRPD experiments.
