Oligosaccharide Profiling of a NIST Standard Reference Material for Human Milk (SRM 1954) Using LC-MS and Spectral Matching

NIST aims to promote US innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology. It has provided over 1,300 reference materials to date, including standard reference material (SRM) 1954, a material developed in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to evaluate the organic contaminants in fortified human milk. This SRM has certified values for concentrations of 37 polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners, 15 chlorinated pesticides, and 11 polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners along with 1 polybrominated biphenyl congener.
