摘要

High-sensitivity CE-ESI-MS is compatible with volume-limited specimens, enabling the identification of various metabolites in single Drosophila larvae. Host exposure to pathogens leads to prominent metabolic changes, and these changes are sensitive to pathogen virulence (axenic vs. symbiotic nematodes). Future studies are needed to investigate the variation of molecular responses that hosts exhibit to pathogens and during different developmental stages and diverse stimuli.
