Proton-transfer CI of NH_3 (vs. CCl_4 reagent) condenses signal into monoisotopic peaks. Nitric acid reduction by WO_3 must be limited to NO_2 to successfully use preconcentrator. 10 ppm and 500 ppm isobutane in helium mixture obtained to be less taxing on CI source.
