A "fit for purpose" rapid screening method based on MS detection applicable for fluoroquinolone and macrolide compound in milk has been developed with the possibility of expansion to other classes and matrices. Good sensitivity, repeatability (n=6) and % recoveries were obtained for the 21 analytes in milk. Full screening validation at 1xSTC is required (e.g. n= 20 where STC is <50 % MRL, n=40 where STC is at 50%-90% MRL, or n=60 where STC is >90 % MRL) The QDa is an accessible MS detector suitable for semi-quantitative residue screening applications.
