1.Orthogonal criteria such as retention time, peak area rank, cysteine alkylation status can be used to distinguish true and false positives, especially when the information from MS and MS/MS spectra are not very conclusive. 2.The automated post-processing script has been used on multiple projects and proved its ability to (1) significantly saves SVA data interpretation time (2) improve confidence and robustness (3) allows quick low level misincorporation screening.
