A chromatographic separation of the targeted analytes has been achieved. APCI LODs were inferior to those achievedwith ESI and APPI. ESI and APPI LODs were within a factor of 2.5 for standard solutions. Comparable results were achieved with these ionization methods when applied to cell culture extracts. When operating near lower limit of quantitation, each ionization method offers advantages based on target analyte. Matrix considerations may mean that the most sensitive MRM settings are not the best for quantitation.
