Analysis of water for Pesticides at low parts per trillion (ppt) levels using two dimensional LCMSMS without any sample pretreatment

LC/MS/MS methods developed in this study utilizing an API 3200~(TM) LC/MS/MS System with Turbo V~(TM) ESI source are appropriate for the simultaneous quantification of several classes of pesticides by direct on column injection. The sensitivity of the technique allows the accurate quantification of these compounds below the required levels needed by the water industry. Scheduled MRM~(TM) was shown to improve the sensitivity of the analysis with increasing the data points across the LC peaks and will enable the water industry to screen for >1000 pesticides in a single injection.
