摘要

The comparison of the data from both proteomics approaches showed that these two techniques are complementary. The gel-based method enabled us to distinguish specific regulation between isoforms. iTRAQ showed higher sensitivity in protein identification enabling detection of changes in membrane and low-abundance proteins. With this study, we aim to provide an in-depth functional characterization of the proteins and biochemical pathways involved in Cd stress response in this known hyperaccumulator by using complementary proteomics approaches.
