摘要

We present here the development of an analytical platform that can readily separate neuropeptides according to their pl's. Amidated neuropeptides that have very high pl's and orcokinin families that have very low pl's are effectively enriched in different pH steps. The addition of a SAX to the front end of MS characterization provides another dimension of separation which can simplify a complex neuropeptide mixture. The use of SAX represents a novel way of enriching C-terminally amidated neuropeptides and orcokinin neuropeptide family.
