摘要

1. A rapid, sensitive, specific and validated LC-MS/MS method is developed for the quantification of endogenous alpha- and gamma-endorphins in rat brain samples. Calibration curves were prepared in methanol owing to the absence of blank brain samples. 2. The LOD and LOQ were observed to be 0.03 ng/mL and 0.1 ng/mL. 3. Since alpha- and gamma-endorphins are potential candidates for antipsychotic, analgesic and antihypertensive drugs, this analytical method can be readily used to analyze pharmacokinetic and clinical trial samples.
