As increasing numbers of people define themselves as transnational, empirical research is needed to determine user preferences and habits. This paper reports the results of an empirical study comparing American and transnational user performance of a technology website. The results suggest a need for more nuanced examination as to what transnational users require in terms of what global and local elements to include in web page designs.
