Building--or rebuilding--a technical publications department after a merger or acquisition is a challenge that many of us face. Your presenters have all been part of recent mergers: one from the acquiring company and two from acquired companies. In this highly interactive session, they invite you to hear their experiences and tell about yours. Let's try to identify the common issues that writing groups face after an acquisition, and the solutions that seem to work best. Your ideas will be included in the support materials on the STC Web site after the conference. The goal is to help our STC colleagues overcome the challenges posed by mergers and to offer recommendations for easing these transitions.
