摘要

Preserving soils from degradation and particularly from pollution by toxic chemicals are of more and more concern in developed countries as it appears in the European Union strategy for soil protection [1]. In case of non biodegradable heavy metals, extended areas which are moderately polluted will remain contaminated for many decades or centuries because of the lack of economically feasible and efficient ways of de-pollution. Environmental applications of clays and organoclays have been known as a subject of increasing interest in recent years [2].
