AN INVESTIGATION FOR THE CONDUCTED PERIODIC PULSE CURRENTS AND RADIATED ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES ON THE HOT BRIDGEWIRE EEDs

EEDs (Electro Explosive Devices) are energetic devices initiated by electrical energy. They produce high temperature flames and ignite energetic materials such as pyrotechnics. In this study the effect of two different electrical sitimulus on EEDs were investigated. The first sitimulus is low level periodic pulsed currents applied for system control purposes. The other sitimulus is the induced currents due to electromagnetic environment from stock to mission stage.
