摘要

Stitching of fibre composite components gains importance in the area of manufacture of dry preforms. Besides for air- and space industry the use also increases continuously in the automotive industry. Not only the material features but most of all economic aspects, such as costs and cycle times, will be taken more and more into consideration. The application of various stitching techniques allows the joining of elements close to their near-net-shape moulds. With the automated combination of individual processing steps a continuous process flow can be realised. KSL Keilmann Sondermaschinenbau GmbH relies on many years of experience in development of special sewing techniques for the processing of technical textiles, as well for 2-dimensional as for 3-dimensional applications. Each sewing technology can be integrated in semi- or fully automated manufacture units. It is obvious that next to the different types of joining the entire unit will become significant. Thereby the challenge will be to combine the optimum level of automation of the process flow with a high flexibility for different applications.
