Advanced Conveyor Technologies to Improve Coal Handling

This presentation looks at two advanced conveyor systems that-used separately or in combination-offer improved coal handling. Designed using material testing and flow studies, "flow-engineered" chutes provide continuous coal movement at higher capacities, along with dramatic reductions in spillage and airborne dust. Air-supported conveyors offer high efficiency, low maintenance and dust control. This presentation will discuss recent installations of these two advanced conveyor technologies.
