The paper will discuss and review the overall aspect of how to apply sieve screens and vibrating screens in a coal preparation plant. The information presented will highlight the importance of sizing screen equipment in the plant for new applications as well as replacing screen equipment in existing applications. How to reduce screen maintenance as much as possible by properly distributing material to screening equipment will be a focus. New designs in screening equipment will be another highlight of the paper. A discussion on how to properly apply screening equipment of all types will be reviewed as well. For example, properly implementing and maintaining Sieve Units, Horizontal Vibrating Screens, Incline Vibrating Screens, Banana Screens and High Frequency screens will be included in the presentation.
