In this work, layer crystallization was carried out for separation of the mixture of acetic acidand water. The high separation efficiencies were obtained in the laboratory-scale experiments. Layer crystallization processes for the treatment of acetic acid wastewater can be possible by considering the following operating variables. For a given feed concentration, higher growth rates of crystalline layer can be obtained when the process is carried out in higher cooling rate. The sweating efficiency is also higher for ice crystalline layer with higher cooling rate.
