Latest perfluoroelastomer sealing development in rapid gas decompression (Norsok M710 rev. 2) applications

Perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) parts are high performance sealing materials meeting the increased challenges of chemical hydrocarbon processes, in terms of chemical, as well as high end thermal and pressure resistance. This paper introduces the latest perfluoroelastomer sealing development in rapid gas decompression applications: Kalrez 0090. The Materials Engineering Research Laboratory (MERL) tested this FFKM product and assigned it the top rating of "0000", after multiple decompression cycles. These FFKM parts are the only ones to be independently tested and certified by MERL to meet NORSOK M-710 requirements.
