摘要

Calcium Aluminate Cements (CAC), with different morphological features and Particle Size Distribution (PSD), have been analysed for their hydration characteristics by XRD, DTA / TGA and temperature rise of the neat cement paste during the hydration process. These information have been analysed vis - a - vis the setting as well as strength development characteristics of CAC. Hydration process and formation of hydrated phases, by themselves, do not explain the properties of hydrated CAC in totality.
