“Hot repair” of refractory blocks on walking beams for slabs reheating furnace by means of ceramic welding (“R.P.R.”) technology

Industeel Belgium is a subsidiary of Arcelor Group, located in Charleroi, specialized in advanced technology carbon steel, alloy and stainless steel plates. The production is 370.000 tonnes plates a year, including 245.000 tonnes carbon steel grades. The plant produces plates from 4 to 150 mm thickness, from 1270 to 4100 mm width, from 6000 mm to 16000 mm length and from 1 to 18 tonnes weight. Main facilities are: 1 electric furnace with 200 T capacity, ladle refining units: V.A.D., T.N., V.O.D., 1 slab continuous casting machine, 1 four high rolling mill with hydraulic cylinder A.G.C. and 1 Steckel furnace, 1 shotblasting and painting line for carbon steels and 1 pickling and passivation line for stainless steels.
