The return of International Space Station (ISS) external experiments provides an opportunity to compare calculations of induced contamination with measurements from flight hardware. JAXA's Micro-Particles Capturer and Space Environment Exposure Device (MPAC&SEED), which was attached to the exterior of the Russian Service Module, is one such experiment. The experiment was designed to characterize micrometeoroid/orbital debris and materials degradation. JAXA also measured contamination on the experiment and has shown up to 750 Angstroms of deposition. Contamination analyses were performed to compare with measurements. Predictions were within a factor of 3, showing good agreement with measured contamination.
