MACROSCOPIC SHAPE FEATURE ON PRODUCTS

摘要

In curve design, the construction of method of representing macroscopic shape feature is important. The main reason for this appears to be that human being tends to perceive the overall shape feature macroscopically. However, representation of macroscopic shape feature in curved profiles is difficult using conventional microscopic shape information such as dimension and curvature. This paper describes that the application of curvature entropy to automobile side views and shape generation, and shows that curvature entropy represents "complexity" in curved profiles on products.
