A Visual Distribution Management System Based on AutoCAD Map Secondary Development Technology

To make it more convenient for Power Supply Company to manage distribution line assets, users and running, provide basic distribution data to sub-departments, analyze line losses, optimize reactive compensation, and to provide an enterprise information platform with IT application solution, a visual Distribution Management System (DMS) with a fully graphical man-machine interface based on AutoCAD Map secondary development technology is developed, with the functions of drawing, search, energy loss computation and comprehensive analysis. An upstream searching technique considering the state of switches is introduced to analyze topological structure of the network, forward/backward sweep method is used to calculate the flow in view of dispersive small power sources, and accurate reactive power moment is adopted to optimize the network, and distribution network reconfiguration is introduced as another effective way to reduce power losses. Its application to ShaoGuan city 10kV distribution network shows that it realizes the integrity of graphics, data, calculations, analysis and management.
