Study on Demand Response Implementation under Electricity Market

摘要

In the long run, the Chinese electricity reform puts emphasis on the supply side reform. In recent years the serious power crisis in the east China makes people realize that only emphasizing the supply side is unreasonable. The functions of the demand side attract the reformers. The market power restricting and resource configuration effect of demand response (DR) has been recognized. Considering the demand side in the electricity market is a tendency in the world. In this paper, the definition of DR is introduced. The classification based on the price incentive of DR and the significance of DR in the electricity industry is analyzed. The implementing process of DR and the effect evaluation of a DR program are presented by an aggregated air condition customer case. In the end how to develop DR in China is discussed.
