摘要

In this paper, we examine the mechanical behaviors of the bulk WBK (wire-woven bulk kagome) under shear loads and the effect of possible defects on its mechanical strength. Two types of statistical imperfections are suggested and analyzed by using nonlinear random network analysis. The simulation results are compared with the experimental measurement on the WBK made of stainless wire (SUS304). It is found the WBK shows a good isotropic response under various orientations of shear loadings.
