Development of recent iron-making technology in Japan

摘要

Since the mid 1970s, the iron and steel industry in Japan has promoted concentration of its facilities for greater efficiency. Against this background, this paper describes leading technology, which copes with high production while overcoming pressing issues, such as the obsolescence of equipment, degradation of resources, and environmental problems.
