摘要

Fixed point processing reduces both system size and calculation time of the adaptive algorithm system for an active noise control equipment extremely. However, a small step gain required by the ordinary filtered-x algorithm spoils the noise reduction effect when the algorithm is implemented by the fixed point processing. This paper proposes a new 'polarized-g' algorithm, i.e., a combination of the polarized-x algorithm and the filtered-x INLMS algorithm, and presents an experimental result which shows that the proposed algorithm results almost the same noise reduction effect even by using the fixed point processing of 16 bits as that by the floating point processing.
